Emily Rysberg, Of Counsel at Thacker Sleight, is a determined and highly- skilled family law attorney with over a decade of experience negotiating and litigating complex custody, support, and property division cases. Ms. Rysberg joined Thacker Sleight in 2023 after being a partner at a large, international corporate law firm for many years. Ms. Rysberg brings the skills and experience that she gained while working in a large corporate law firm to Thacker Sleight, where she can apply those skills and experience in a more, personalized and cost-effective manner for her clients.
Ms. Rysberg is a resolution-oriented attorney who works diligently to achieve the best possible result for her clients and their children. She has a reasonable, yet firm, approach to negotiations and is able to successfully resolve most matters with favorable outcomes for her clients without the expense of trial. However, in matters where negotiation is unsuccessful, Ms. Rysberg approaches each trial with the highest level of preparedness, strategy, and confidence. Ms. Rysberg is also well versed in appellate practice, having successfully argued (and prevailed) on behalf of her clients at the Michigan Court of Appeals on numerous occasions.
